Thanks devs for unnecessary graphical features I turn off and the game runs better imagine that.ģ0FPS being close to 24FPS of films is fine but otherwise keep the cutscenes 30, why the gameplay 30 because pushing the console, lacking optimization and other factors and techniques. Why do we need cinematic games to look like movies oh to sell to an audience and makes the games look worse and run worse to match cinematic movies. Environment assets sure it makes some sense for the textures/recolour the sand or mountains but actual weapons or other elements no I don't want to see the same guns, or cars or otherwise being outdated and recycled too heavily that's where I notice it and it is lazy because they didn't have time for that type of design than other elements where it makes sense to do so. I never asked for cinematic games, or cutting corners that aren't necessary sometimes they are but many times it's disgusting and because they lack design. Motion blur (blur in cutscenes sure but in gameplay it's bad for performance and makes it look worse) same with film grain. If a solid 30fps isn’t met then I do think the question should be asked at what point does the player/consumers needs come before ‘creative decisions’ This is going to be a £70 game at the end of the day…on a £500 console…on a new generation… there has to be certain expectations met. For that it needs to be a solid 30fps throughout…not regular dips to the 20s. ![]() And 30fps can be forgiven for such …IF it plays well. Starfield is clearly ambitious…probably be the most ambitious game of the generation. Cod at 30fps? No way, online shooters need 60. Forza at 30fps though? No way… racing needs 60. Hell blade 2 I’m not expecting at 60fps…and I don’t think it will suffer from being 30 too much in terms of gameplay and backlash (we can clearly see where that additional 30frames have been spent instead). Outside of these consoles being sold as 60fps being the standard, I think certain genres require 60fps more than others.
